Gift and tote bag giveaways, other promotions planned as metro area nets two new grocery stores.
The Denver metro area will net two new health food grocery stores in the next four weeks when Whole Foods Market opens a location in Castle Rock and Natural Grocers debuts in east Denver’s Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.

The Natural Grocers store will open at 18471 Green Valley Ranch Blvd. on March 25. Denver Mayor Michael Hancock will cut the ribbon at 8:25 a.m., according to the news release.
The first 100 customers will receive a gift bag containing cooking utensils, a breakfast recipe and ingredients to make it. Shoppers lined up outside between 7:30 and 8:35 a.m. will be eligible for a raffle. The grand prize is a $100 grocery gift card every week for six months.
It will be the Lakewood-based grocer’s 41st store in Colorado, officials say.
Courtesy of Whole Foods Market This 43,000-square-foot Whole Food store at 6384 Promenade Parkway in Castle Rock will open to the shopping public at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2020, according to the health food grocer.
The 43,000-square -foot store, Whole Foods’ 19th Colorado location, will also host an in-store restaurant, Genji Izakaya & Ramen Taproom, according to a company news release. The company is also seeking to reopen its Capitol Hill location in Denver, which shut down in 2017 after its store near Union Station debuted.
After their opening days, the Natural Grocers will be open 8:30 a.m.-9:05 p.m Monday through Saturday and 8:30 a.m.-8:05 p.m. Sunday and Whole Foods will be open 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
